How do you adapt to your telescope?
Over the years, Optec has developed dozens of adapters and custom fittings for various telescopes and mounts. Our most common telescope adapters are based upon a circular dovetail mount in two different sizes.
- OPTEC-2400 mount - our standard 2.4-inch diameter circular dovetail mount
- OPTEC-3600 mount - our larger, 3.6-inch diameter circular dovetail mount
Generally, the OPTEC-2400 mount can be used to attach our 2-inch accessories such as the TCF-S and IFW. Likewise, the OPTEC-3600 mount can be used to attach our 3-inch accessories such as the TCF-S3 or Pyxis 3".
Responding to recent requests for threaded adapters and fittings, Optec has introduced a new line of adapters and extension tubes designed around the Astro-Physics 2.7-inch thread specification and the new, larger Deep Sky Instruments DSI 3.5 thread spec.

OPTEC-2400 Dovetail Mount

Optec 2.4" Dovetail Mount
The OPTEC-2400 circular dovetail mount is used for the TCF-S focuser and IFW filter wheel to allow easy connections from most any telescope. If your scope or accessory is not listed, do not hesitate to call.
OPTEC-3600 Dovetail Mount
Telescope Adapters for the TCF-S3", Pyxis 3", IFW 3" and Perseus
Optec 3.6" Dovetail Mount
The OPTEC-3600 circular dovetail mount is used for the large TCF-S3 focuser, Pyxis 3" rotator, or the IFW 3" filter wheel to allow easy connections from most any telescope. If your scope or accessory is not listed, do not hesitate to call.
